Southern California Aquatic Plants SCAPE Enthusiasts website. Website: "scapeclub.org" SCAPE is a local, non profit group formed of the most dedicated Aquatic Plant Enthusiasts in Southern California who, together, form a movement to promote awareness and knowledge of the science, art, and beauty of planted tanks among both hobbyists and retailers. To Join SCAPE, you need only to register an account on this site, it is FREE. There are many benefits to becoming a member, you can go to meetings and participate in Auctions and Raffles to get cheap healthy plants and fish/shrimp and inverts and win some top prizes such as complete Co2 Set ups and RO units. Members of SCAPE receive discounts at many retail establishments, both brick-and-mortar and online. There is a wealth of information from experienced hobbyists to help out those new to the hobby and for those with the experience and answers, you can make a difference here helping out those just starting out. San Francisco Aquarium Society (SFAS) Website: "sfaquariumsociety.org" Established in 1923 by Steinhart Aquarium ichthyologists, San Francisco Aquarium Society (SFAS) is the West Coast's original tropical fish club. Each month we host a lecture on how to breed a particular species, how to grow beautiful aquarium plants, how genetics is used to predict environmental impact, virtual tours of club member aquaria, aquaponics, collecting across the world, or anything else on topic. Our members bring a variety of fish, shrimp, plants, books and aquarium supplies for the after-meeting club auction. You'll typically see superb specimens and varieties unavailable through pet shops, and at bargain prices. We sometimes have a raffle. Meetings are open to the public and free. You're invited!

We are a non-profit organization with an objective to encourage and further the interest of the care and breeding of tropical fish and to promote the exchange of information between amateur aquarists. Meetings typically include a guest speaker, bowl show, raffle, attendance prize, and an auction which includes fish, aquatic plants, and aquarium supplies. Many of the auction items go for less than wholesale prices.

The San Diego Tropical Fish Society (SDTFS) Website: "sandiegotropicalfish.com" The San Diego Tropical Fish Society (SDTFS), the oldest and most active fish and aquarium club in San Diego. We have monthly meetings with interesting programs and speakers, mini-auctions, bowl shows, and a raffle with lots of great prizes. In addition, we have an annual show, large semi-annual auctions of fish, plants, and equipment, and monthly events or field trips. We have club members interested in discus, guppies, bettas, angelfish, koi, African cichlids, goldfish, aquatic plants, and all aspects of freshwater and marine fish keeping. Members are invited to write articles to be published on the website, and can be found here. The objectives of the SDTFS are to bring together a congenial group of people mutually interested in tropical and exotic fishes and other forms of aquatic life, and to promote interest in, further the study of, and encourage the presentation and preservation of aquatic life. By-Laws were constructed in 1983-1984 and the PCCA was incorporated as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the state of California on January 30, 1985.
