Website: "www.gslas.com" The Great Salt Lake Aquarium Society of Utah is a non-profit club dedicated to fresh water fish. This club is for the study and enjoyment of these fish in Utah. Our activities include guest speakers about fishkeeping, fish auctions and socials. We have speakers on as many different fishes as possible. These speakers give presentations on collecting fish in the wild, keeping fish in the aquarium, and breeding freshwater aquarium fish. The club brings in speakers that are well known; and experts in their topic. The club is run by its members with three elected officials: President, Vice President, and Treasurer. Visitors are always welcome at our meetings. If you like fish you will enjoy attending our meetings in Utah. Club members can also offer advice based on years of fish keeping experience.

theokaa.org The Oklahoma Aquarium Association is a general aquarium hobbyist group. Our members maintain fresh, brackish and marine aquariums. All persons interested in the hobby are welcome, from the novice to the advanced fishkeeper. Our members have kept and spawned many species in their aquaria. The OKC chapter meets the first saturday of each month. Every third meeting is held at member's house in the evening. The Tulsa chapter meets the second Sunday of each month. Meetings generally involve a door prize, a presentation and include an auction of live fish and plants. Participation in the monthly meetings is open to the public and there is no charge for attending. Membership dues are $20.00 per household and cover 12 months. Special discounted memberships are available to members of other aquarium specialty groups and non-voting out-of-state members for half price. Junior memberships are also available at half-price for members under 18 years of age. Membership benefits include discounts at area merchants, presentations on various aspects of aquatics given by nationally recognized speakers, participation in club auctions where you can acquire rare fish and plants for bargain basement prices, and club activities that include behind the scenes tours of public and commercial aquariums, as well as native fish collecting trips. Plus you will have the opportunity to develop friendships with other interested hobbyists and share information and experiences.

akronfishclub.com We are a group of aquatic enthusiasts in the Akron, Ohio area. Formed in 1952, the Greater Akron Aquarium Society is a non-profit, non-commercial organization. Our membership ranges from the beginning hobbyist to the advanced aquarists with many years experience. The goals of our club are to promote the care, study, breeding, and exhibition of aquarium fish and related aquatic life and to promote interest in the aquarium hobby. Our meetings are held on the second Friday of each month at 8:00 PM at the Ritchie Memorial Shelter House at 109 West Avenue in Tallmadge. Visitors are always welcome. It costs absolutely nothing to attend a meeting and look us over. Membership forms are available on the web page, or at the meeting. The cost is only $10.00 for adults or a family (includes children under 10) and $5.00 for a junior membership (10-17 years) for a paper newsletter. You can save money by receiving your newsletter electronically and get two years of membership at the same price. Membership provides an opportunity to socialize with others who share your interests, a subscription to our bi-monthly newsletter (Tank Topics), Library usage, and more. We also offer a corresponding membership for $10.00 a year. Our meeting agenda is simple and informal. The meeting will begin approximately 8:00 p.m. with a short business meeting. Immediately following is the program for the evening which usually lasts about 45 minutes. Our programs consist of a speaker, a slide program, a movie, or perhaps a panel discussion – always on a particular subject related to the hobby or various species of fish. Following the program is a short refreshment break, after which the winners of the Bowl Show are announced, the Breeder’s Award Program fish are auctioned, and tickets are drawn for the Equipment and Book Raffles.

GCAS is an all-species club that has active BAP, and HAP programs. We also have a quarterly publication, Fincinnati, a very active online forum, 2 large auctions a year, an annual SWAP meet, and monthly meetings with featured speakers. Not to forget, and bunch of other fish geeks for you to hang out with! Meetings are usually held on the last Sunday of each month at Winton Wood's Visitors Center, located at 10245 Winton Road at 7:30pm. The meetings usually include a program or a guest speaker, and a fry auction for the Breeders Award Program. Guests are welcome to attend any two of these meetings before joining GCAS.
