After 6 years of having a single clownfish in my 200 gallon I decided to try giving her a friend. I bought a juvenile Yellowstripe Maroon Clown and added it to the tank....now to see if my 6 year old will accept the newcomer....
They meet face to face...
Keeping an eye on each other but still not sure...
A little bit closer...
Here goes nothing...
Success!! They have been inseparable ever since.

That is so great! If I can ever convince my husband to keep anything other than African Cichlids I want to try a saltwater reef tank. Unfortunately most of the times with Cichlids the newcomer is beat into submission, never welcomed like your Clownfish.

All of the photos are over the course of about 30 minutes, so not long at all. It has been a few days now and they are still together all the time.
